.IN LATE 2021 Russia started assembly metal crates over the turrets of its own storage tanks, in a try to secure all of them from assault. The crates showed inefficient-- some Western professionals jokingly called them "emotional-support armour". Right now Russia has introduced an even more demanding retrofit, using steel sheeting to completely enclose a few of its tanks. The new armour has gained the autos the label "turtle tanks".
